Tidal Bore creates and prototypes designs for inventors and startups, small to midsize businesses in need of a specialized resource, or large corporations seeking outside design assistance. We work in  the nonprofit, industrial, medical, internet of things (IoT), and consumer markets. 

Our team is made up of talented engineers with diverse backgrounds in life and industry. The broad skill set and breadth of experience of each member of our team allows us to be dynamic, efficient, and think off the beaten path. Nonprofit promise 

All profits from nonprofit clients will be returned to that organization or donated to another organization of their choice.   

Additionally, ten percent of profits in each fiscal year will be donated to a specific set of non-profit organizations. For 2020, those organizations are Camp Ketcha, International Medical Corps, and For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST).

Joshua Fox

Josh grew up in Illinois in a family of tinkerers and builders.  In 2001 he joined the Navy where he spent five years along the East Coast, Mediterranean Sea, and Indian Ocean.  He returned to Illinois where he earned a BSEE and MSEE from Northern Illinois University.  He went on to work for two Fortune 100 companies where he focused on hardware development, advanced engineering, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). In this time, he managed dozens of products throughout their entire lifecycle and specialized in advancing future technologies into manufacturable products resulting in three US patents.  

Outside of work he spends his time with his wife chasing after their young kiddos.  Together, they enjoy mountain biking, surfing, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, and traveling.
